Brightest Painting Ever to Welcome Spring!

 

After the longest winter in the history of forever - spring has finally arrived!! (on the calendar anyways there is still snow on the ground)  In celebration of the end to all this cold and gray and slush I have just finished this super bright painting of a sunny warm day on the French Riviera

Location: Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France - this view of the French Riviera is from the lookout of the magnificent gardens of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild (recognizeable to me as the setting from the classic Steve Martin movie Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) on a beautiful sunny September day. We toured the gardens (nine in total) and lingered over the sun set basking the harbor in bright golden sunshine.
