White Fir

Riding on the bike trail in Farmington, I saw the upturned needles of this white fir tree, so grey that it was almost blue, and I knew I wanted to paint it. This is the first attempt, I have a few more ideas of how to incorporate the white fir motif into future paintings. The dimensions of the painting are 48” wide by 60” high on unstretched canvas, acrylic paint.
