Hydra, Greece
Decided to paint one of my favorite trees, pretty high up there on my best all time world wide list of trees. Its on the island of Hydra in Greece, a short day trip by ferry from Athens. Get off the ferry, head west, passing all the fishing boats and outdoor cafes. Pass all the donkeys waiting to give you a lift. Pass the little swimming area and right at the corner where the curve of the harbor meets the outline of the island is this tree. Sun, cliffs, sky and the sparkling Aegean are important to the story too.
