Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan

One to check off the bucket list, I finally made it to Japan. I had such a huge list of things to see and do, we did a lot but still only scratched the surface.

We visited Tokyo taking in: Sensō-ji temple, Ueno Park, National Museum of Western Art, National Museum of Modern Art Tokyo, Ameya-Yokocho market, East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Tower, Tsukiji Market and teamlab Borderless.

A super fast ride on the shinkansen and then we were suddenly in Kyoto and visiting: Nijō Castle, Shōren-in Monzeki, Chion-in, , Maruyama Park, Kōdaiji Temple, Nishiki Market, and a day of racing at Kyoto Racecourse.

Plus of course wonderful food and lots of shopping!
